2019 Round Up

As the year draws to a close it’s time to take a look back at 2019 and some of the fantastic projects I’ve been lucky enough to work on.

January got off to a great start with the launch of Bakers’ Blend, a new magazine by client Walker Humphrey Ltd., specifically designed for the bakery sector. The publication has gone down a treat with their customers, so much so we are now just hitting the print button on issue 13!

The year continued with some great projects for new client Evolve Assess, including a rebrand! Working closely with Rich (Managing Director) we created not only a new logo, but also a set of marketing materials (business proposal templates, letterheads and business cards).

April saw local client Stray FM launch their 25% off Stray Vouchers sale! Well what’s a sale if nobody knows about it?, so tasked by their sales team I created a set of digital adverts that ran on their website, social media platforms, mobile apps and throughout their marketing emails. The team saw a big uplift in sales and even managed to sell out of quite a lot of their vouchers!

The office was temporarily relocated in summer…to the garden, as England saw the hottest day on record! During these sun kissed summer months I got to work on some fantastic projects, including creating a set of magazine adverts for new client Crumple & Co (check out their new shop on Parliament St, Harrogate), a CD design for Lofthouse Brass Band, and branding a Leyland DAF Truck for client bakery Walker Humphrey – a personal favourite job this year!

The end of summer also saw another 2 new friendships formed with URKD radio stations Spirit FM and Eagle Radio – and also the chance for their listeners to win FREE DOUGHNUTS as we launched our first advertising campaign, Ring-A-Ding-A-Doughnuts!

As we moved into autumn and the seasonal colours changed from greens to red, so did the designs in the form of Willow Engineering. Tasked to create a marketing piece to meet their existing brand guidelines I created a 6 page fold out flyer aimed at prospective clients. Another three stand out projects of autumn 2019 are the new logo I created for With and Expert ltd (English language tutors), a rebrand for local client Warehouse Storage Solutions and launch of new product Sik Scents air freshener (now available in 5 different scents!).

The back end of the year has been as busy, with some key dates in the marketing calendar. I finally found time to write design (and write) my Christmas cards (pictured in the gallery below), but after two Black Friday campaigns, one Cyber Monday campaign and four Christmas campaigns later I’m looking forward to some time over Christmas before getting into what is looking like a busy January.
